FastStone MaxView - User Friendly Image Viewer
There are many software applications out there that you can use to view image files. One element that makes FastStone MaxView stand out of the crowd is that with this application you can view images stored in password-protected archives. If you have some images that you would like to keep private, just archive them and put a password on the archive. When you want to easily access those images, you can do that with FastStone MaxView.
Speaking about easily accessing images, I must touch on two points. The first one is that FastStone MaxView provides support for the most popular image formats out there. The list of supported image file types is quite long, so no matter what types of images you have, you’ll be able to view them with FastStone MaxView.
The second point I wanted to address is the application’s ease of use. The interface is quite simple, so you should not have any problems with it. Not even if you are a novice and you never used a similar product before I may add. To view an image simply click File -> Open -> find and select the image you want to view. To view it in full screen, double click it or press F on your keyboard. While in full screen, move the cursor to the edges of the monitor (up, right and left) and some hidden menus will show up.
If you don’t like how an image looks like, FastStone MaxView puts some basic editing tools at your disposal. You can rotate, resize, crop, and annotate images.
If you like how your images look and you want to see them all, you can use FastStone MaxView slideshow feature. The nice thing about it is that there are many, many transition effects to choose from and the fact that you can set it up so that music plays in the background while
You are more than welcome to go get FastStone MaxView, put it to the test, and enjoy the functionality this application has to offer. Before you do that though, take a look at the technical details presented below:
Download – the download weighs in at a mere 1.9MB. If you don’t like to waste time by waiting around on downloads to complete, you are going to love that getting FastStone MaxView off the web and onto your computer will only take a second.
Installation – to get FastStone MaxView up and running, simply double click the executable you downloaded. When you do that a wizard will show up and guide you through the steps you need to take. There are only a few of them, so the installation process will complete in little time, just like the download process.
Limitations – you have 45 days to enjoy the functionality FastStone MaxView has to offer for free. You can see how many days are left on your trial from the Help -> About menu.1 Once the 45-day trial period is over, you will have to get a license to keep using the application. Here’s a tip: check out FastStone Image Viewer which does pretty much the same thing but is free for personal use.
FastStone MaxView is a user friendly and lightweight image viewer that provides support for many image file formats. It has some basic editing capabilities as well. Its party piece is that it can display images from password-protected archives.
